Palm Coast Fishing Report

Summertime is here in Palm Coast and that means there are lots of fishing options avalible right now, back water redfish to giant oceanside tarpon, there is a fish for everyone. The early morning topwater bite for redfish continues to be great, as well as fishing for juvinile tarpon at first light. Anglers wanting to catch lots of fish in the backcountry should think about targeting snook this time of year. With lots of west winds lately the oceanside has been nice and calm allowing me to run out in the skiff and quietly stalk big tarpon, jacks, and sharks on fly or spin gear. Also showing up are some big pods of false albacore, feeding and blitzing on the surface these “albies” are a blast on fly rods and light tackle spin gear as well.
