Fly Fishing Palm Coast

Clean water and happy schools of redfish is what winter time in Palm Coast is all about, for anglers looking to target redfish with a fly rod this is a great time to do it.

Monday morning me and my best friend Nick went out in hopes that he could get his first redfish on the fly rod. Approaching the first flat I wanted to fish we quickly found a few groups of redfish feeding on mullet, Nick made a few cast outside the school that the fish didn’t see, we followed the fish up on a shallow oyster bar were he was able to lay out a perfect cast, the fish seen the fly right away and quickly charged the fly and ate! With a smooth strip set nick was hooked up, and landed his first red on fly!
