Fishing Report: April 11th 2022

The flounder run has officially started here in Palm Coast, with several 4-5lb plus pound fish caught on my skiff this week. Fishing sandy spots around rock piles has been producing some great fish. Moving in from off shore these flounder are moving inshore to spawn and can be found near the inlet, creek mouths and the edges of the ICW can be great places to target “door mat” flounder.

With lots of jacks, blue fish, and lady fish around this is a great opportunity to get the kids out on the water for some non stop rod bending action! With large feeding feeding frenzy’s around right now pretty much anything you toss in the school of fish is getting eaten. Low tide red fishing has also been a great bite with a few schools of redfish still up on the flats this is a great time of year to target them with artificial lures or bait.
