Fishing Report: April 7th 2022
Starting at 7:00am this morning McCullough and his two boys hopped on my skiff and we started the day, running north toward the inlet. Almost to our first spot we ran into a giant feeding frenzy of birds diving and big blue fish jumping all over the place, using topwater plugs we made long cast around this frenzy, and as you can imagine the results were pretty explosive! After loosing count of how many big blues we had caught we continued to our next spot, bouncing shrimp on the bottom with the current we caught multiple species redfish, sheepshead, black drum, and some flounder, but William was rewarded with a very nice flounder.
After catching lots of fish around the inlet we decided to switch it up and go look for some redfish in the shallows, with a perfect low tide we squeezed our way into a small creek that had some redfish in it. Shortly after getting set up Ben was hooked up to a great redfish that gave him a good fight after a handful of nice reds at this spot, we moved to our last spot, and kept on catching lots of redfish then Ben reeled in a big sea trout finishing off his north Florida slam! Another great day on the water with this crew was complete so we head back to the Bings Landing where Captians BBQ had some delicious lunch waiting for us.
